What to Wear
When staring into your closet and wondering what would look best, remember these simple rules...
Solid colors photograph best and some patterns do not photograph well especially skinny stripes and tiny polka dots. Of course rules were made to be broken, so if you have something in mind that you love that is busy please show me. Feel free to text me a picture and I'll tell you if it will work or not.
The camera LOVES fun bright colored accessories, knits and textures. They look incredible and add personality to your images, so please don't be afraid to use them.
Families don't have to match to a tee, in fact, I don't recommend everyone wearing the same color. However, you should coordinate so have fun selecting a color palette. If mom has a colorful dress, pull a color or two, to dress the other family members. Be creative and don't be afraid to accessorize with color, if you choose a neutral palette.
Please AVOID large insignias, logos, words on shirts, wearing all black and all white.
Also, please do not forget shoe selection! Your shoes should coordinate with your outfits. Ladies, I don't recommend wearing heals or tall wedges if we are going to a wooded location. It will be very difficult to walk in the grass, as you may lose your balance. Flats, closed toed shoes or boots are always best. I would also avoid big bulky white sneakers. I recommend a dressy casual shoe for dad and boys.
When in doubt, please ask for help! I am more than happy to offer ideas to style your family.
